Dr. Franz Decker, VP Production Strategy and Logistics at BMW Brilliance Automotive, has more than 20 years’ experience in Logistics covering strategic and operational aspects, inbound and outbound operations, demand planning and production steering. He combines a long-term, end-to-end perspective with a pragmatic approach and a clear focus on delivery.

In his current role he is responsible for organizing the growth of the BMW-Brilliance production network in China while ensuring a stable production and reliable delivery to the customers. His objective is to set benchmarks for a green, adaptive and reliable logistics.

Prior to his current role he has been responsible for the long-term development of the BMW Group production network. During the financial and economic crisis he was in charge of program and production planning and helped to lay the foundation for a quick recovery. His 20 year professional experience in BMW also included responsibilities for logistics and IT strategy, company programs on complexity and flexibility management, organizational development and change management.
